Food Bank Supply Stocker

Job Purpose Summary
The San Francisco Food Bank is a non-profit organization that collects donations of food and non-food items and redistributes them to other non-profits at an extremely low cost. Each year, ATC spends about $12,000 at the Food Bank, and receives about $250,000 worth of goods (pretty cool, no?). Currently, ATC staff members go to the Food Bank twice a week: once weekly to collect and deliver supplies back to our office, and once to collect and have supplies delivered by the Food Bank. We need volunteers for the two days that supplies arrive at our office to restock our cabinets and back stock areas.

Key responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Unpack the Food Bank supplies
• Restock our cabinets and back stock area
• Be neat and organized
• Able to lift boxes short distances
• Attention to detail

Training Provided
• An organizational and office introduction: 2 hours
• Shadowing a staff member completing the task: 6 hours
• Any additional training as needed or desired


Position Details
Currently the Food Bank delivery arrives on Mondays by 3pm and Thursdays by 12pm. The hours are anytime after 3pm on Mondays and 12pm on Thursdays.
